FFSC teaches Sailors to save
Gas prices are at an all time high, and it seems that many people are becoming more in debt as the economy continues to show signs of a recession. To help build America's wealth and fight economic hardships, the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) observed the second annual national Military Saves Week Feb. 24 through March 2.

TRF opens apprenticeship program
Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, located on the Naval Submarine Base, is now accepting applications for their apprenticeship program. Electricians, pipe fitters, sheet metal, equipment mechanics, welders and painters are a few examples of the trades that may be available. This program is an excellent opportunity for local area residents to pursue a career maintaining the nation's submarine force.

For some Sailors serving as individual augmentees (IAs) the culture shock encountered during their tour is just one of many challenges faced when serving abroad.

Port Operations keeps Kings Bay moving
It can be easy to overlook the contributions first responders make when there isn't a crisis brewing. One such group of first responders here at Kings Bay often goes about their business with little fanfare. However, the jobs the Sailors of Port Operations perform are vital to the base's mission.
