Mission First and Safety Always was the underlying theme as the safety departments at NSB Kings Bay and Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) captured the Chief of Naval Operations Shore Safety Awards for 2006.

Group 10 IA supports Israeli-Palestinian security
Approximately 10,000 Navy Sailors are currently assigned as Individual Augmentees all over the world. These Sailors go into places such as Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan to support the Army and Marine Corps by providing additional personnel in security, medical and supply fields.
