USS Maryland Sailors help Second Harvest feed Camden
Fighting local area hunger and poverty was the challenge volunteers faced this past week as crew members from the USS Maryland volunteered their time to help Second Harvest with their mobile pantry food drive April 25. The volunteers loaded, bagged and delivered 8,139 pounds of food to 189 households.

Donnelly visits USS Rhode Island
Vice Adm. John J. Donnelly, commander submarine forces, visited the USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740) April 18. He toured the ship and visited with the wardroom in a question-and-answer session.

Keeping Kings Bay's pets healthy and happy
One of the most important tools the Navy uses to accomplish their mission at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay is their K-9 unit from Kings Bay Security. The K-9 unit is vital to the base's security enforcement plan and is always ready to take on any assignment. This is made possible due to the support from the NSB Kings Bay Veterinary Clinic located across the street from the base post office.
