Are you ready for new management?

There are major changes in store for residents of Navy Family Housing here. Within the next year, all residents will receive Basic Allowance for Housing in their paychecks. In addition to receiving BAH, residents will be responsible for paying rent and utilities to a private management partner. [ More ]

'Thrown out on the curbs'
MC2(AW/NAC) Will Tonacchio, a staff writer and photographer for The Periscope, recently joined the Oceanway Assembly of God of Jacksonville Church for a special mission to aid residents of New Orleans effected by last year's Hurricane Katrina. The group helped families with a small step towards normalcy by, of all things, helping prepare their homes for demolition.

WWII Subvet Memorial gets needed care
Fifty-two submarines were lost between 1941-1945. There are many memorials dedicated to these boats throughout the United States, including one in front of Trident Training Facility here.
