Kings Bay has new CMC
Mission accomplishment and allowing Sailors to reach their full potential personally and professionally are just a few of the command philosophies applied by NSB Kings Bay's new Command Master Chief CDMCM(SS/SW) Joe Kunz. Kunz, who took over for CMDCM Robert Chapman last month, is not new to the scene, as he has served at Kings Bay as chief of the boat aboard the USS Tennessee (SSBN 734), as CMC of Submarine Squadron 20 as well as aboard the USS De Wert (FFG 45), a frigate out of Mayport, Fla. As a result, Kunz has developed a strong work ethic and leadership philosophy. However, according to Kunz, not many changes are needed in Kings Bay's command structure.
