Camden pays tribute to its veterans

More than 200 St. Marys citizens gathered to honor and promote the public remembrance for all the brave men and women who have returned home after suffering battle field injures during the inaugural observance of Wounded Warriors Day Nov. 10 at Oak Grove Cemetery and Howard Gilman Waterfront Park in St. Marys. Kingsland hosts annual Veterans Day Parade
Although remembering the fallen and those who fought in World War I was the original theme for Veterans Day, this year's Camden County Veterans Day Parade seemed more like a celebration, as more than a dozen various Camden County organizations participated in a five block march through downtown Kingsland Nov. 12.

NSB Kings Bay hosts CFC Golf Tournament
This year's Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Golf Tournament at Trident Lakes Golf Club, Kings Bay Nov. 9 to raise awareness and money to support a multitude of charities and non-profit organizations. For only $35, tournament participants were treated to lunch, a golf cart and 18 holes to play on for various prizes.

Base participates in annual Camden Army/Navy game
More than 100 military members were on hand to witness an exciting match up between two high school football teams. In honor of Veterans Day and to pay tribute to the men and women serving in the armed services, the Camden County Wildcats were proud to host the Army/Navy match up between the Wildcats and the Bradwell Tigers of Hinesville on Nov. 9.

Kings Bay accepts the Xtreme Challenge
Mountain biking, canoeing and running were just some of the skill challenges that participants had to partake in during the Xtreme Challenge at NSB Kings Bay Nov. 8 and 9.
