Top Navy official meets with Sailors, families
Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Military Personnel Policy) the Honorable Dr. Lynda Davis paid NSB Kings Bay a visit Nov. 15 to tour facilities and to speak with commanders, Sailors and their families in order to explore, among other things, growing concerns over the effects of multiple Sailor deployments to Iraq. Davis also received a base mission brief by NSB Kings Bay Commanding Officer Capt. Mike McKinnon.

Base conserving enironment, tax dollars
Many have already noticed the little futuristic-looking cars and trucks zipping around Kings Bay, especially during the past month. These new cars are a fast, silent and efficient alternative to the gas powered vehicles previously used to drive only short distances.

Geese call Kings Bay home
It's the holiday season and time for homecomings and reunions among friends and families. One Kings Bay family has been returning home for almost 30 years.

Military Family Appreciation Day
More than 1,500 NSB Kings Bay military and family members enjoyed food and fun during the annual Morale, Welfare and Recreation Military Family Appreciation Day Saturday.
