Kingsland honors Kings Bay Sailor
Quick thinking multiplied with years of experience by the Kingsland Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) fire department team was the difference between life and death for one patron at the annual Catfish Festival this past Labor Day weekend.

Site VI comes back to life
Reminiscent of an old western ghost town with lonely tumbleweeds blowing through the Warrior Wharf, or Site VI as is referred to these days, is a reminder of how the Navy's strategic mission has evolved. The Warrior Wharf was once the hub of activity during the early days of the base with a submarine tender, a floating dry dock and the 41 for Freedom submarines ported there.

USS West Virginia Gold visits namesake
Six members of USS West Virginia (SSBN 736)(GOLD) participated in a four-day visit to the West Virginia cities of Clarksburg, Elkins and the capital city of Charleston, spreading goodwill to Veterans and children of the Mountaineer state.

Winter Wonderland
Throw in some games and rides along with Santa and fairy dust and you have the seventh annual ''Light up Kings Bay, Winter Wonderland'' celebration held Dec. 2 at Kings Bay.
