Sea Dragon calls Kings Bay home

Enjoying the holidays while being away from family and friends can often be very difficult for a person. But there is a remedy for the holiday woes Single Sailors! Moral, Welfare and Recreation is chock-full of events through out the holidays to keep the Sailors and Marines of NSB Kings Bay jolly and joyful.

Sailor fights his way to the top
Hard working and dedicated are some of the words that could be used to describe MA2 Albert King and his boxing career. King proved to everyone that he is deserving of those words by winning the State Championship in boxing March 3-4, Georgia's Golden Gloves March 29-31 and the Florida State Police Athletic League Boxing tournament Nov. 3-4.

Sailors, Marines spread holiday cheer at VA Hospital
More than 50 Kings Bay Sailors and Marines visited the Carl Vinson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dublin, Ga., Dec. 10 to deliver paper bags decorated by children from the Kings Bay Child Development Center, Crooked River Elementary School and Boys & Girls Club filled with thoughtful gifts of toiletries and crossword puzzles.

West Virginia Gold makes namesake visit
The commanding officer, chief of the boat and 17 other crewmembers of USS West Virginia (SSBN 736) (Gold) paid a visit to their namesake state Nov. 7 - 12, participating in a variety of activities to provide community service, enhance crew morale, and to just plain have fun.
